uh, what's a sith? doh...

hey kids, time to move beyond the warm and fuzzy.

welcome to work. for those who don't have a job, welcome to life, my friends.

crazy kids...

it's been a while... to get back into the bloggin groove i thought i'd post something really exciting, hard hitting... click here to see the latest in extreme sports.

them crazy kids, eh?

musical trivia question:

name the opening "marching" theme to the old stampede wrestling show with ed "malfunction at the junction" whelan.

what's a sith?

is watching Star Wars E1 and E2 a prerequisite for viewing E3? i've got on tape E1 and E2, (courtesy of the cbc) and i abhor the thought of having to watch them. i fell asleep during E1 and couldn't get through E2 for some odd reason...

just trying to protect my 9 dullah investment and/or save 3 hrs. of my short and wonderful life...

tom phillips.

we go way back. his bday was on may the 11th, 3 days after my own. that's how i remember it. i managed to fire off an bday email (how intimate, eh?) this year. here's the text:

>From: bubba
>To: tom phillips
>Subject: happy bday!!!!!!!!!!
>Date: Wed, 11 May 2005 10:56:27 -0600
>
>Hey Tom,

>if you're still alive, happy birthday!!!!!!!!!!,

Hey Bubba, Thanks alot! I am still alive but unable to move from my bed in the extended care facility due to the IV drip, oxygen tent, and monitoring of my many septugenarian medications that need to be constantly monitored by trained paliative care staff.

Thanks for thinking of me. How are you? What are you doing? When the hell is your bday? It's sometime around now isn't it?

Let me know how you're doing.

Cheers

Tom

hey, if you have unsuspecting friends who are having birthdays, i'd be glad to send them a similarly worded email. it's the least i can do...

have a nice day,

bubba.

Save your money and avoid watching E3. And erase your tape containing E1 & 2. Trust me, you'll be better off in the long run.

trust me

mike,

that's not a very glowing review. are there ewoks in E3? if so, i'm outta there...

i heard that in china they set up tables outside the theatres to sell E3 on dvd. E3 can't be that bad...

Trust me it was!!! I was actually laughing at it in parts. I can't honestly think of one moment in the entire movie where I said "cool".

Al, you obviously missed my "unintended hint" in that group email.

dean, i dunno understand what you talkin 'bout. i guess i totally missed it... please clarify.

The Fx, are ok, but I don't like the way Lucas feels he has to fill every square inch of screen space. I prefer the minimalism of the original (non-thx) trilogy. Also, he uses digital characters too much. The movement just doesn't seem natural and therefore takes away from the effects in my eyes.
